clear orange reddish jelly like- query eggs??

Hi, just been fishing out some twigs and leaves which the tree surgeon dropped in my pond, and found some ,as it says above, clear orange jelly type stuff stuck to, and perhaps wrapped around encapsulating some old twigs and leaves. They didn't look like any frog/toad/newt eggs I've ever seen, but will gladly be corrected...tried to get a photo, but couldn't, as I needed a 3rd hand..I will try again when the OH comes in..but any ideas? I've been googling, but no luck.....Thanks for any advice,

sounds like snail eggs, have you tried looking at online images on google etc?
