| | | Common Starwort Hi I recently built myself a nice pond which i intend for native wildlife to occupy, 1 of the plants I believe to be a good water oxygenator is common starwort, I am not aware of any that grows naturally near me so want to buy some, I found several sites that claim to sell it but pictures used to show it vary alot, can anyone direct me to a site where this can be bought? Thx Rob |

| | | Re: Common Starwort It's a good tip not to buy from a nursery that sells any of the invasive aliens like Azolla (fairymoss), Crassula (swamp stonecrop/Tillea recurva), Parrots feather (Myriophyllum aquaticum) or floating pennywort. As said above, a small fragment of any of these can take over your pond.

It is also worth knowing that it is an offence under Section 9 of the WCA (1981) for some non-native plants (which includes L. major) to be released in to the wild.
