| | | Do you have a pond? Survey If you have a pond, or know of a pond locally, Please take a few minutes to fill in The Big Thaw 2011 survey on the Pond Conservation website.
Here: http://www.pondconservation.org.uk/b...thawformonline
They are trying to track the effects of ponds being frozen for so long this year, and having snow on them.
Please fill it in whether ot not you have fish or amphibians in the pond, or whether or not you have noticed any deaths of pond creatures.

Just a quick question how do I make a picture smaller kb? What do I save it as? Most of my pics are several hundred kb. I usually crop pics but the one I wanted to showed & filled the whole pic which was 1mb. Bit of a phototechphobe

Bit of a phototechphobe | I use an excellent little program called IrfanView, you can download it here: Download IrfanView
Just message me if you want to know how to use it, but it's pretty straight forward

Then open it and look for an EDIT option.
Choose resize.
Then experiment with the sizes. I made mine the second smallest size, and it uploaded ok.

The sooner our new graphics designer starts the better! I always used to get him (our old one) to do stuff like that .

| | | Re: Do you have a pond? Survey Does anyone have a garden pond (with frogs and or other good wildlife) that they might allow me to visit?
I'm a photographer for a great conservation media project 2020VISION 2020VISION : For a wilder Britain, and they have asked me to photograph wildlife in garden ponds for this -frogs, newts, invertebrates etc. I'm looking for ponds in the Surrey/ London area, as I'm based in Croydon.
