its the remains of a heart urchin, Echinocardium cordatum
You find them quite often on some beaches, Ynys-las near Borth is where I've often seen them.

Apart from the image, where found and when will help.
As a total prance in the dark, sea-urchin (just thought, Urchin is a common name for a hedgehog, so a sea hedgehog), jelly fish remains?
Anyone else up for a prance? In the dark?

Cefn Sidan is without doubt the most beautiful beach I have ever been to and that's saying something. Thanks very much for the help though. We have just moved to this area and we are in heaven with otters and a kite amongst our neighbours. |
