Been trying out a bit more of this pond creature photography. This is one from a couple of weeks back,

I expect you'll try to get some shots of the emergence sequence when it happens.

I may do next year. I've put them back in the pond as if I keep them inside too long they will emerge too early. There are plenty in the pond I got them from!

Great macro shot Neil. How did you set up the shot only when I try these out it too murky or the light is wrong.

Really? I had it down as a black tailed skimmer. That said last year I thought they were broad bodied chaser! I'll have to check my other photos against the british dragonfly nymph ID book too.

I like that shot, really good lighting in my opinion.

I tried a few shots this year that are in my WAB Gallery. I found it very difficult to ID the exact species

It is a great shot and not normally seen never mind in in photo I too would love to know how you set the pic up.
I get reflections on the water and murky water when trying to photo newts.

not normally seen - too true Kayleigh.
I went to the Wild about Norfolk show and a poor bloke, i think from the Broads authority was trying to find the nymph in a two foot circular bowl. Took him about five minutes!
