| | | ID & Info: Vulgata or Danica Mayfly.... I photographed this back in August not far from my wildlife pond:
Can anyone tell me whether it's a Vulgata aka Drake Mackerel, or Danica, or indeed anything else, please?
Do they hang out and breed always in the same area?
Many Thanks

Thanks for the reply
My pond is only about 4ft x 3ft, exclusively filled with river water (plus natural rainfall), is among mature trees and close to a small river. It has a plastic lining and gravel on the bottom which has collected silt naturally since June this year.
I have also seen two Damselfly nymphs recently in my pond:

The nymphs are Coenagrion puella . |

Coenagrion puella = Azure Bluet
This other Damselfly is very local to my pond:

Spotted one of the Mayfly nymphs again today in my pond. And a Freshwater Shrimp.
