| | | Underwater Palace fit for a Prince.... .
I came across a broken pot today and instantly realised that I could use it at the bottom of my wildlife pond to provide shelter for some creature.
It's sat on a floor of stone chippings, slightly silty.
^ Temporarily sat in the bird bath.
But what creatures would be interested?
My first thought was a Prince Frog. A palace where he could take his beloved and stare up at the stars above.
But which other creatures might enjoy the shelter? (I'm a newbie to creating ponds environments)

you need to watch you don't put anything sharp on a pond liner , obviously you wouldn't want a puncture. |

However, my pond lining is one of those heavy duty pre-formed plastic jobbies and also the pond bottom is covered with a bed of gravel, so any sharp 'palace' edges will be cushioned. The gravel has attracted a bit of silt - Again helpful to small pond creatures by providing a landscape. I've seen a shrimp on patrol scurrying over the gravel rocks.
The underwater StarPalace is also known as The Thunderdome and has already attracted the attention of a minibeast which I'll post a photo of later.
I've got long grass and a pile of logs near the pond which will further help the animal shelter aspect.
