| | | Both signal crayfish? I'm hoping for a settling of an argument between myself and the others here in my house!
On a walk through Pamber Forest in north Hampshire on Sunday we noticed at least 4 crayfish in a small section of the stream. I'm pretty convinced that all were signal crayfish but the others think the one at the top of this picture is the native species. It appeared slightly smaller and was defending the nook it was in against the other, which only has one claw.
Can anyone settle the argument and tell us they are both signal crayfish please?!
