| | | Pond eggs to identify! A series of egg clusters have been laid on a leaf at my new pond's edge. They are clear lozenges, about 8mm by 5mm. Some are still completely clear, but the ones laid first have developed a circle of tiny, slightly tan coloured dots around the inside of the lozenge.
Any idea what they are? Should they ideally be submerged or on dry land at the edge of the pond? |

| | | Re: Pond eggs to identify! Aha - thank you! So, would that be water snails, rather then ordinary garden snails? Happy to encourage water-bound ones, but have quite enough slugs and snails in the garden as it is!
If water snails, should be eggs be under the water? I found them when I moved the pond, so not sure where they were originally. |
