| | | Blanket weed suddenly disappears My pond is 7 years old and has always been plagued by algal growth. A few weeks ago the green slime suddenly and mysteriously vanished leaving clear water. I expected the small amount of oxygenating weed (mainly hornwort) to respond positively but it has died back to almost nothing. There is no possibility of contaminant spill in the water. Does anyone have any idea what is happening? |
