| | Pea Mussel? Should I introduce some pea mussels into my barrel pond? I've come across an eBay seller who appears to have a good reputationandis selling 3x native pea mussels. They describe them as being helpful to the general pond environment by grazing on algae, etc. I did ask them how they would fair in a bad Scottish winter like we've just had but they stated it was beyond their experience.
The pond is new and tomorrow I will hopefully be adding pictures to the following thread (eventually ): Wildlife Container Pond?
Thanks again, folks.
Graeme

| | | Re: Pea Mussel? I wouldn't use them personally its such a small environment you dont know if it would support them..
I heard they can die and pollute the water.
That's only my opinion so do what you think is best. |

| | Re: Pea Mussel? Agreed Kayleigh, I'll just leave the wildlife to colonize the pond naturally.
Thanks again,
