| | | Succinea putris - amber snail? I found this small elongated snail on dock leaves at the edge of a wet, marshy area near a river. Can anyone confirm that it is an amber snail, maybe the European amber snail Succinea putris. I think the pale shell colour and grey body are right, though Oxyloma pfeifferi is another possibility maybe.

A tentative yes from me, It does look right. Oxyloma pfeifferi does not usually exceed more than 12mm, and the majority of these would be a dark animal. |
