Out today with our group, having a rockpool rummage found lots of interesting things like rag worms little crabs etc: but what is this, is it a type of coral   |

Lovely looking thing. In the Thames estuary we get lots of the bryozoan Flustra foliacea (Hornwrack). Last February (2009) the beach at Whitstable was covered with it.
