| | | Where can I see Signal Crayfish? I am located in Scarborough, and round here all we get is the native white-clawed crayfish. I was wondering where in Yorkshire was the nearest place that signal crayfish were present so that I could go see some. I know it might seem weird that I am interested in the introduced crayfish, but I am a big fan of crustaceans in general, and I wouldn't mind adding another species to my 'seen' list.
Please let me know. |

Yes, I know it good that there are native crayfish around here, and I am lucky to see them, as I often do.
But, as I am a 'big fan' of crustaceans in general, I would like to be able to see some signals.
I went down to the Humber last summer to go catch Mitten crabs just so I could see them. Not native, not as important as white-clawed crayfish, but interesting to see. |

| | | Re: Where can I see Signal Crayfish? I believe there are a few sites in the Yorkshire Dales that have a problem with them, Warth Dale might be worth a try, but don't forget you need permission to trap them | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
