| | | daphnia I've been breeding some daphnia and I'd like to know what species I've been breeding. Does anyone know how I can go about identifying this species?
I've tried an online key: http://web.natur.cuni.cz/ekologie/ED...2006-01-12.swf
But it was impossible for me to tell, I'd happily send someone a sample to identify if they're willing?
It's quite a small species about 2-3mm max.
cheers guys |

| | | Re: daphnia Hiya Cowgirl,
That's a good idea but I've actually already tried; I haven't found a way to hook up my camera to the microscope I'm using. If you've got any tips they'd be much appreciated...

| | | Re: daphnia I just remembered that I filmed the same daphnia species a few months ago with the help of a friends equipment;
There's a bunch of stuff on this video including the daphnia but there are quick links to the daphnia in the video description if anyone feels like giving it a go at identifying: YouTube - Organisms: My Microscopic Farm | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
