Black, bloodworm like insect larvae for ID
I've just discovered these black bloodworms (to the glee of my stickleback) and was wondering whether it's just another form of midge larvae? Or maybe it's too difficult to tell without a picture

They seem to move like a bloodworm

Can you get a photo? Its likely its a Chironomid larvae.

Yes I'll try and get a picture of a couple of them; I'm just charging my cameras batteries. My friend seems to think they are definitely Chironomid larvae. For some reason I assumed all Chironomid larvae were red but apparently not

Yes, your guess is as good as mine which species they are though. You need keys and microscopes.
