rockpools
anyone know what the legalities are regarding collection of rockpool inhabitants?
i understand its illegal to remove items from the beach as its the property of the crown.
prosecution highly unlikely i know but the issue was raised on another group site and interested to know the official line.

Im not sure its illegal but minimum size's exist on some species such as crabs and fish. Im sure if you were taking large amounts from the rockpools for commercial use there would be a problem.

Judging by the amount of sand the local council moved from the beach at Scarborough to grit the roads he has a good argument to any impact he has.
