| | | water creature ID help required There are a number of these in a bucket of water, they are about 1 inch long with a 2 inch tail (or whatever it is)
Any ideas?

| | | Re: water creature ID help required They are rat tailed maggots, the larvae of droneflys (a sort of hoverfly). The tail is a snorkel they used to breathe when submerged in (usually) low oxygen or stagnant water |
