| | | mobile phone application for identifying fish I hope this doesn't contravene the forum rules, but I thought I would mention my mobile phone application that can be used to identify freshwater fish species. It can be downloaded onto any web enabled phone (most modern colour screen phones) from my website which is all the w's, fishwish.co.uk (I thought it might be a bit cheeky to add a direct link!). A sea fish version will hopefully be released later on this year |

| | | Re: mobile phone application for identifying fish Works well on Blackberry Storm although my three results were
Rudd 205%
Brown Trout 205%
Bream 171%
I thought percentages only go up to 100, unless you are an XFactor judge

Butterflies of Britain and Ireland | not dissimilar to a field guide though - and considerably lighter and easier to carry
This is the way of field guides of the future I reckon! |

The Apps that are also field guides may be poorly priced against other apps but they are well priced amongst field guides...
Should we start a new thread on this? (apologies Charles for hijacking your thread) |

| | | Re: mobile phone application for identifying fish Thanks for the interest. An iphone version is available (and much more powerful) and available via istore. To find it you have to enter 'Coarse FishId' into the istore search, otherwise you end up with a very different version which isn't a proper key.
Your 200% results that you refer to have never come up in any of the testing so hopefully you were running it on an emulator or something that wasn't fully compatible with the Java version. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
