| | | Re: What Happened Here? - Koi Not wishing to disagree with posie here, but, a mink would easily drag/carry a fish of this size. So would a weasel. These critters can handle prey, many times their own weight. As someone once said "It's a bloody good job, Mink don't grow as big as Tigers!" I have to add however, I wouldn't rule out an Otter either. |

| | | Re: What Happened Here? - Koi Sorry Sarah, I'd forgotten about the 'poo' exibit! It does look rather large. So maybe it is an otter. Not that I'd know Otter poo if I fell in it I'm not too far from you sarah and we have plenty of otters (relatively speaking). I guess you'd almost definately have Otters close by? Wizz |

The Environment Agency are in the middle of conducting the Fifth Otter Survey of England 2009 - 10.
I've checked the Lea area in it falls into the south east 50 km square of SO which is being surveyed.
The results will be published next year and you might find them interesting reading. |

I'm beginning to think it was otter, going by the recent activity near us and what others have said. So yes, Wizzo, I'm guessing we do have otters nearby, which would be awesome! They're one of my favourite animals xxx

| | | Re: What Happened Here? - Koi Yeap, mine too Sarah. I don't know what it is with Otters and Badgers, but I just love them both. A freind of mine hit a male Otter, whilst driving home from a fishing trip recently. He was distraught. I would hate to hit anything in my car, let alone one of these lovely creatures. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
