Apart from anything else, the conger eel is like our national emblem (apart from our lovely cows, that is  ).
It seems next to impossible to find many useful fish skeletons for comparison on the Net, but I was searching for fish skull photos when I chanced on that cock salmon skull you verified for bing3 in 2007. It was an intriguing debate, and the skull looked astonishing (to an amateur like me, but not, I suspect, to you  ). Scary Skull
