I am not sure if this is the right forum but with no responses from the fungal fraternity I thought I would try here next.
While looking at the internal structure of a small mushroom I suddenly came across this fellow 
I forgot to measure this but less than 1mm I would think
I have a feeling I have seen something similar when looking at stagnant water but I am not sure. Has anyone seen anything like this before.

no idea what it is, but it's not a starfish. They have 5-point symmetry, adn I'm pretty sure are exclusively marine animals. I would go along the lines of a diatom or similar I think with this, but I'm no expert in this area. |
