Saw these fish in the dykes on the floodplains in Hadleigh country park-are they minnows?
Not very clear photos,sorry about that

no these are stickleback, minnows tend to like flowing water. |

Agree. Sticklebacks. One thing that is quite diagnostic for sticklebacks, even in a poor photograph, is that their pectoral fins are set very far back on the body compared to most fish. | | |
