Best time to clear and tend your pond is probably end sept/beg oct. That way any breeding from anything is finished and creatures haven't then started to hibernate. I'd agree that emptying pond prob not a good idea as it will be fairly well established by now.

Hi there, the plant that has what I think is bambo and a flowerless plant, well I have some broken up patio slabs in the pot and they are about cm under water and it not netted, so I assumed frogs could get out there. Same on other side pond if the Juv frog are able to hop onto the grass in pond and maybe out of pond? However I havent seen tadpoles since sporn dispersed (if correct term) though I guess it would be difficult to spot the tadpoles, I guess it is possible a few havent made it.
