unknown eggs on pond

Hi,I have recently built a pond in the back garden for wildlife. It has quickly become full of all sorts of life and absolutely teeming with midge larvae,hopefully soon the predators will arrive and make a dent in them. So far I have smooth newts,pond skaters,small waterboatmen and numerous small beetles. Anyways,seeing as there was nowt on telly this afternoon ventured out with me camera and took some pics of some sort of eggs that float on the surface.They are in clusters approx 7-8mm long and are found all over the pond.Im guessing they are midge eggs?,tho any definitive ID would be greatly appreciated

I may be corrected on this... Mosquito eggs. Don't know what other species lay eggs in raft like this.

I agree these are as fauna says mosquito eggs.
