Also, there appears to be quite a sizable lake in Skipton Woods; are these woods accessible to the public?

| | | Re: Pond water.. There seems to be a pond at the far side of the rough field accessible from Lytham Gardens. "Where's the Path" is "full" for today so I can't check for accessibility.

| | | Re: Pond water.. skipton - Google Maps
The area in the centre looks very much like a pond, but again, too late for "Where's the path".
Two more in this area, according to streetmap (to the east of the reservoir): http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&so...,0.008218&z=17

| | | Re: Pond water.. Hi,how big is the pond and are you intending to have fish in it . Is it a pond liner in the ground ? You could maybe add a few natural pond plants from a local garden centre which will help get things moving,as they will probably contain life of all kind as well as attract life. I guess it depends on what kind of life you want in the pond. . I should'nt think it will take long for natural life to take over |

| | | Re: Pond water.. Hey..... No fish, its a rigid pond liner, not small but not huge... just want it to naturalise itself and we are also having a boggy part running off the trickle stream we are making, so hopefully like you said, things will happen when things are ready to make a home there. We are going to the garden centre armed with a list of native plants for ponds this weekend but a bucket of silt would have been great!...thx everyone | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
