| | | whooper swans? does anyone know anything about these??
just been to feed the local swans today and there was one by itself and young looking. |

| | | Re: whooper swans? i thought maybe it was quite young as it had brown/grey feathers still on its front  i don't know much about swans to be honest, but it definately was a whooper? i will be going back there next weekend or should i go sooner to see if its still there? |

| | | Re: whooper swans? In that case most likely last years young, some grey feathers will remain until their second winter. As it is a young bird perhaps it has got lost or is simply just late to leave. |

| | | Re: whooper swans? it was in the middle of all the other swans (mutes), didn't appear to be ill, but was very aggresive towards the others.
i go down there regular, so could maybe just keep an eye out for it. would it hang on and maybe migrate next time? |
