| | Troubulous Tadpoles Hi everybody! I'm new to the website.
So anyways, to the point!
I was walking by the natural pond that's up the road, and I stumbled across a few (like 3) frog eggs that were lying on the ground. So I Rescued them and put them in a Chineese fighting fish tank. They hatched today, 3 tadpoles, and I was wondering when i should start feeding them, when I should start them on flakes, and how much food for just 2 tadpoles (Each one is like .2 to 1cm long)
Should I get more? HELP PLEASE!
Thanks in advance,
Jake G.

| | | Re: Troubulous Tadpoles Tadpoles are vegetarian until they develop their legs eating algae, so blanket weed etc from the pond should be ok. They will then develop(quickly) in a warm tank, once their legs start to develop start feeding them flakes, mince etc. Feed them little check how much they are feeding you dont want lots of waste food in the tank, but equally ensure they have enough (small amount daily). |

| | Re: Troubulous Tadpoles Well they're definately Rana temporaria of the two, because the eggs werent in strings. Did i mention each tadpole is only about 5mm long? |

I'll switch to bread and flakes when they sprout legs, tho. |

| | | Re: Troubulous Tadpoles It's been a while, but as it turns out they were bullfrogs. Bullfrogs take 2 years to mature into frogs, so I'm in for a wait. |
