| | | Re: should tadpoles be frogs by now It's not too uncommon for some tadpoles from late-spawning frogs to overwinter as tadpoles. It's typically when there's been quite a bit of cool weather or not too much food available. If they make it through the winter they'll become adult frogs next year. |

apparently it could be something to do with pollution.

| | | Re: should tadpoles be frogs by now Have your taddies got plenty of food? Try them with a piece of meat (remove any that doesn't get eaten after a few days). Might be just what they need to get them going.

| | | Re: should tadpoles be frogs by now I've a new pond (one year old) and am looking for some tadpoles/frogs to place in it. It hasn't any fish in it to compete with them and is of a good size (60 x 35 ft). Has anybody some to spare or point me to where I might get some to re-locate to my pond. Thanks. |

| | | Re: should tadpoles be frogs by now Hi. My tadpoles sre not froglets yet; they are very big, without legs and are at the stage of developing frog-like faces. As long as they are healthy (moving around a lot and eating) they are fine x |

| | | Re: should tadpoles be frogs by now Ours are at various stages right now. While there are a few that have no legs, most have hind legs now in various sizes, and some have the beginnings of forelegs. They're even starting to turn olive. But don't worry if yours are still legless. The pond we got them from has tadpoles half the size in it without a trace of legs.
