However goldfish and carp arnt to be confused with the same fish they are both distinctive species and goldfish whilst in the carp family are more closely associated with crucian carp both in the Carassius genus as oppose to Cyprinus. So they may revert back to their natural colour but wont change species. |

, We have very few gold ones now and most are quite a rich brown colour.
