Where have the pondskaters gone?

We've had our pond for just over 2 years & everything has been fine.

Within 2 weeks of it being dug our first arrivals were the pondskaters.
They have always stayed on the water til autumn.

But this year they arrived in Spring and have now totally disappeared a couple of weeks ago.
Does anyone know the reason for this?

There are no fish in the pond & as far as I can tell it seems healthy enough.

Not where have they gone but does anyone know why they have gone??

I only had 2 pond skaters this year for about two weeks then they left.

I now have half a dozen babys whizzing about my pond. so keep your looking you may have some babys about

Mine are still around, tho as soon as babies grow a little no doubt they'll be gone Yours have prob just moved on after reproducing ? Or maybe they didn't like you
