unidentified thread-like creature

Please help. I found a very pale, cream coloured, thread-like creature about 5cm long moving on the netting over one of my ponds. It holds its front section up in the air and sways from side to side. It can curl the rest of its body in endless loops and is very active. It is about the thickness of sewing thread. We had very heavy rain here (Carnoustie) earlier today so not sure if it came from the land around the pond or from in between the rocks near the pond. The pond is fibre glass but we also have a larger pond close by with a liner only.

Thank you very much for the help. Your connection was very good and did identify my mystery creature. It was something that I had never seen before but is quite fascinating to watch the way it can contort its body. Glad I only found a small one though!
