I have to thank The Sun though for extending the great pleasure I had a few years ago (at least 30!) when I met a Californian girl (stereotype long blond hair to her waist, all natural) who was just passing through London on her way doing a Europe trip and ended up living with me for 6 months instead. It's not just The Sun that reports badly - I could tell you a true story about The Daily Telegraph, military tanks, and iced Nescafe, but I digress further.

I don't buy any newspapers nowadays.

It could have been a big cat attack while the seal was beached then it tried to make its escape back into the sea and died from it's wounds. I'll email that big cat expert (the one that uses the cardboard cutouts) and see what he says. If anything he might have a great white cardboard cutout lying about.

I think it is fair to say that ALL newspapers report badly. In every single newspaper report where I have known the facts (admittedly not a huge number - less than ten) there have been substantial errors of fact. That's not to say that some aren't better than others, but in general terms reporters don't have time to check or discover every last fact, and nobody wants to read an article where every tenth word is 'probably' (probably)!

....That was exactly my point - They're ALL guilty of unreliable reporting at times
