Seaweed
Does anyone out there know much about seaweed? I photographed these two interesting looking ones on a recent northumberland trip but I'm unsure to their Identity.

The first red one was on the beach at Embleton (brown seaweed is Tooth Wrack)



The second was underwater in a small rock pool at Craster

the top picture has abit of Fucus vesiculosus bladder wrack, and the red one i think is Laminaria digitata Oarweed, the bottom picture i arnt sure

Also the sea weed you call tooth wrack looks to like Fucus serratus serrated wrack

Hi Dogghound,
Thanks for the Oarweed ID, I've never seen it looking so red before, just past its best I expect. Toothed Wrack is just another name for Serrated Wrack.
