while i was fishing orfordness last weekend i caught a crab 1st of all i thought it was a normal spider crab but looking at pics now i dont know because it had tiny little claws and it may sound strange but it had a smiley face lol and it was a trangle shapecan anyone shed any light on what it was? by the way it was also full of eggs underneath

As far as I know all female crabs carry their young. Can you give an idea of size ?? Could be a scorpian spider crab  . |

As demicav says crabs carry their eggs with what remains of their tail coiled under their body. Could u possibly post the picture you speak of? |

i tried to get a pic posted but me camera is havin none of it at the mo but looking at the photo on the camera the crab has long white skinny claws dont no if this helps ps i'll keep trying to post a pic thanks again matt |
