The Cornwall WLT has a good site: Pond educational resource pack - pond animal identification
I seem to recall te Field Studies Council doing something but can't recall it now!

I think the pond life section of this is quite a useful site:

The Field Studies Council produce some very good identification materials, but so far as I can recall none of them are free. The laminated charts are good value, though.
