| | | Water Bugs Competition Hello. That got you looking! Ok. The first one who gets pictures of
1- A water measurer
2-A water stick insect
3-Saucer bug
4-Common backswimmer
in the Gallery gets a Cornetto on me!
Had a look in the Gallery but can't find any of the above.
So come on pond dippers...get dipping and give these smashing little beasties a look in on WAB.

| | | Re: Water Bugs Competition Can anyone recommend a good website for identifying all things aquatic? I've only owned my wildlife ponds for a few months and beyond pond-skater, water-boatman, toads, frogs, newts, and their relative spawn and offspring, I'm a bit iggerant at the mo. I have worked out the dragonfly larvae and thanks to a posting yesterday now know a caddis fly larvae when I meet one... |

| | | Re: Water Bugs Competition Does anyone know if these bugs are active yet or do I have to wait for a bit?
I know a pond where I can find atleast 3 of those, whether I can get a decent photo or not is another question!

Guy | Everything is getting more active now. I was ditch-dipping last week and we had some lovely finds. I couldn't get pics though as I was preventing the kids from getting too excited and falling in!
It's another world in the water.
