| | Upcycling Survey (Please View) Hi everyone,
I am a student who is currently studying Business/ICT. For one of my projects I have been assigned a task to inform the general public about 'Upcycling'. Therefore I have created a simple questionnaire for some answers that I desperately need. I need around 10-15 responses.
I would be very grateful if you could take a few minutes and answer all these questions.
Thanks very much.

I think the question about the household bin is not useful to this survey, because all bins are the same size in each area, but some households have only one resident, whereas others may have lots of residents...so it doesn't really mean anything..
In addition to the kit/kits, will you issue instruction sheets for all other ideas covered in the 'workshop'?.
When advertising the event, you could ask people to bring along examples or ideas they already have.
I think this event could need more than 2 or 3 hours, if it is a 1off event...Could make a good all-day workshop at weekend. then the entry fee would have to be more, because it would be more of a workshop than a 'lecture' and you would need to supply more 'materials...Just a few thoughts... Good Luck with it....Posie.. |

Have I ever heard of upcycling? - No
How long to fill up the household bin - the big wheely-bin between two weeks and a month depending on if my husband is away or not.
If I finish a tin of beans I recycle it. I only need one pencil holder.
If I needed a bracelet - I would make one (but then I love beading.
What facilities would I like the venue to have?
Parking facilities
snack serving facilities (tea and cake always goes down well!)
How much would I pay for entry to the venue - it would indeed depend on the content of the exhibition, I would suggest free entry (or perhaps less than a £1) but charge for tea and cake.
When in the day should it take place - Probably a similar time slot to a school fete or similar so late morning to afternoon.
What demonstrations would I like to see - All of these and perhaps something a little more complex as well (see suggestions).
Free kit. Old bottle into Vase possibly or see suggestions. (old / broken necklace, needle thread and pattern for stitching)
Videos.
Perhaps one for subjects that can't be easily demonstrated inside.
Suggestions.
Or what about a wildlife friendly suggestion like turning old bamboo canes into bee houses by cutting them into short lengths and sticking the lengths together into a bundle which can be attached to a tree or fence.
What about something like turning kitchen waste into compost. - Then eventually you can have used potato peelings to grow strawberries! There are lots of people (me included!) that haven't been really taught on how to make good compost and would love to learn, you could get someone from a local allotment to talk about what to use to make compost and what not to, whether to turn it or not, how long to let it mature etc.
Also what about turning a broken necklace (or charity shop necklace that has seen better days) into a new necklace with a really basic beading stitch like the daisy-chain stitch (which is really really easy honest!) if you google 'beading daisy-chain stitch' it comes up.
I'm 33 and female
Hope this helps! | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
