Has anyone used one of these? It's a wormery specifically for compostong dog xexexexexe..... I don't want to spend money on something if it doesn't really work but it's be great to find a viable alternative to bagging the stuff....

Well, I have a wormery specifically for composting kitchen waste, but I don't put dog poo in it - it's recommended not to due to parasites.

I have a separate dog waste digester. This is basically a tub with holes near the top. You set this into a large hole in the ground on a bed of pebbles and surrounded by pebbles. You have to buy a 'dog waste activator' solution. (A pet shop in Salisbury sells this.l My wife tells me that this is the only place she's found in Salisbury to buy this.) You start my filling the digester with water and add 20ml of activator. Put your dog poo in it whenever you find any. Once a week, add 5ml more of activator and stir.
Once a month, flush the digester by chucking in two bucket fulls of water, then add a fresh 20 ml of activator.
I've had mine say 3 years, and it works fine.

The activator is expensive though. Last week it cost us just over £8.00 for 500ml. My wife says that this has doubled since the last time we bought it.

That's interesting about the digester - I'd heard from other people that they didn't really do the job which is why I haven't got one but it sounds like yours has worked fine. What dog/s do you have? I wonder if it's to do with volume?

The wormery interests me because apparantly you can use the resultant castings and liquid on the garden. They're not cheap though, which is why I'm interested in hearing from anyone who has actually used one successfully..........

As you say, my Dog Waste Digester works fine. Once it was installed it's been no trouble, is easy to use and maintain and is completely odour-free.

I'm attaching my info about 'garden wormeries'.. As you say, you can use the compost and the resultant liquid on your garden. The latter needs to be diluted about 1:4

i would love to shove the dog owner, who allows his/her dog to xexexexexe outside my house all the time and never clears it up, in to your composter....along with all the other dog owners who do the same to other people or in areas where people walk or children play along with the dog owners who dont train their dogs properly, you know the ones, they shout at their dog endlessly but it simply ignores them as its never been trained to come to heel anyway so why should it now etc...and especially, a prime spot for the dog owners who do pick up the xexexexexe and then hang the bag in a tree etc...these people are so poorly ignorant and mentally challanged they are a disgrace to the human race....

I saw somewhere cant remember where they sell flushable dog poo bags just pick it up and flush it away.
