| | | ive been rummaging through bin bags!!! i run my own buisness and pay a company to take my rubbish ,i dont have an awful lot and its mainly just tissue paper ,my staff put the bin bags out the back of the shop for collection but ive noticed that there has been twice as many the last few weeks than what we normally have so ive been keeping an eye on it ,2 days ago i pulled up at the back of the shop and there was a bin bag outside the back door and it wasnt the type we use ,i asked my girls and none of them had put it there so out came the rubber gloves ,it was definetely domestic rubbish ,milk cartons ,curry cartons, food etc ,then i hit the jackpot ,right at the bottom was a bank statement for a mr parker ,the address was about half a mile up the road.im assuming he works in the offices above my shop or he may even be one of my regular customers, but whoever he is, hes going to recieve his rubbish back tomorrow ,i suppose its easier to just empty the boot of his car outside my shop than go to the local skip!! |

| | | Re: ive been rummaging through bin bags!!! We also have our own business tawny but we don't live on the property.Someone kindly dumped a lot of rubbish over the back wall and it cost us £350 to have it removed. Now we check out back as soon as we get to work.
As we have so little rubbish we don't have it picked up, we just take it to the business part of our local tip 4 times a year as it is much cheaper. |

You might like to mention to him as well that it is lucky that you found his bank statement and not some criminal as by now his bank balance would be reading zero.

| | | Re: ive been rummaging through bin bags!!! This is an issue for the Council to deal with - report it to the Environmental Health, what he has done is fly tipping, is illegal and could be fined for it. Unlikely to go that far, but a stiff letter from the council could e a bit of a wake up call for him.

| | | Re: ive been rummaging through bin bags!!! I agree with svenrufus totally, it is fly tipping and you should always call in the waste department of the council to investigate and take action. He is unlikely to be fined the first time but if he then just dumps his rubbish somewhere else they will take action.
Would be interested to know more about the tissue paper as it would be great if we could find a way for you to recycle it. |

| | | Re: ive been rummaging through bin bags!!! A few years ago I paid someone to take some furniture to the Council Dump for me. A few day's after this I was driving down a Country Lane not far from where I was living, to find all my furniture. The Chap that I had paid had dumped everything not even half a mile away.
Fortunately I knew this Chap so immediately went to his house, his Van was outside so I knew he was in. I was more than ready for a confrontation I can tell you.
Told the Chap that I'd just found my furniture up the road and that I was on my way home to report It to the Police, you should of seen his face, It was a picture.
He removed the furniture and took It to the dump that same day.
You just can't trust anyone these day's. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
