| | | Re: Recycling Asthmatics I always put the canisters in with the doorstep collection of cans and aerosol containers because, er ... that is what they are.
Like other contributors, I wish I could get away without new plastic holders each time. I do put them in the plastic bottle recycling bin ( are they still called " Bertie Bottle Box"?). I figure the council might already have the capability to recycle or, if the council doesn't yet, my action might spur them on.

It has been stated earlier that one of the problems of re-using dispensers is the problem of ensuring the delivery of the correct dosage if dispensers become contaminated and this argument I accept, however, since using the dual container system, I have found that although both are supposed to deliver 200 shots of the medication, the 'Atrovent' lasts at least thirty percent longer than the 'Salbutomol' which says to me that the correct dosage is arbitrary anyway. Just as an asside to this I find that the two cannister system is less effective than 'Combivent' was, has anyone else come to this conclusion, or is it my immagination.
