| | | Any ideas to become more green ? Hi All !
Need some help about these. I’m thinking of getting my colleagues involved in recycling and reusing activity in the office, but I need some fun ideas to motivate them and get their interest.
Any good ideas on how to re-use old office supplies? Or any great ways on how to make your office more green? |

Recycle your tea bags.
If you don't refill your printing cartridges, make sure they're recycled for a charity.
Put messages about saving electricity in strange places. Encourage your colleagues to leave nothing on 'Standby'.
Elect yourself as the Green person and have a childlike sticker chart on the wall. The person who's the greenest of the week, gets to go home half hour earlier on fridays.(Better run that one past your boss though! )

- Switch off equipment not being used, e.g photocopiers, printers etc
- Print double-sided if you have to print anything (uses half the amount of paper!)
- Re-cycle or re-fill toner cartridges
- Turn the heating down if you can (offices are often overheated due to pc screens etc)
- Use the stairs rather than the lift
The list is endless - similar to energy saving at home!

Any good ideas on how to re-use old office supplies? Or any great ways on how to make your office more green? | Send old moble 'phones, inkjet and laser printer cartridges to the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation for recycling: The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation Recycling Appeal: Recycle mobile phones, PDAs and printer cartridges to raise funds for Charities
It's easy to do and supports a great charity founded by well loved entertainer.

| | Use Mugs at work instead of disposable beakers. If you are guilty as a company for using them you could visit this website Remarkable Pencils Ltd - UK Recycled Promotional Pens who produce 20,000 pens and pencils a day from disposable beakers!
Buy recycled stationary. Quote:

Another idea! How about setting up feeding stations around the building to encourage wildlife. That way colleges may appreciate and the environment wildlife little bit more?
I'll keep on thinking away for other ideas. I think it's wonderful you have taken the initiative & wish you all the very best with making company a greener environment to work in! Quote:

| | | Re: Any ideas to become more green ? Try not to be strict enforcing your 'green policy'. It is never going to be perfect, especially if it involves non like-minded people, and speaking from experience it can be a little frustrating getting everyone to buy your ideas!
