The Woodland Trust are hoping to raise money for new trees and woodlands by re-cycling our old xmas cards.

I should give that a try because my mum keeps all the cards so she can remember who to send ones to next year  |

Thanks for the link, Ruth! I believe that BBC Breakfast ran an article this morning or was it yesterday morning about re-cycling Christmas cards, I missed it though!  Boots used to collect cards but do not seem to have for the last couple of years! I will certainly re-cycle my cards as usual! M & S will get mine as it will be a good excuse to have a mosey around the Ladieswear! |

There's a local brownie pack that are using the Wooldand Trust's recycling scheme as a competition with other packs. Not a bad idea.

I love the idea that old xmas cards are being used to raise funds to plant up new areas of woodland .. am even tempted to buy a few boxes of *really* cheap cards in the sales just to put straight in the recycling bins (or would that be a bit silly/defeat the object?!!) |
