| | | Chemical Toilet Apologies if this has been covered before, but I've just got myself a camper van with a chemical toilet in it. Is there anything I can put in it instead of the deadly blue stuff?
Thanks |

| | | Re: Chemical Toilet We use the Fenwicks top & tail liquid. As it says you can use it in the flush & the bottom tank. It is envirinmental friendly. Stinks though

| | | Re: Chemical Toilet Gelert, I use one called caraflush from carapak. They have a range for chemical toilets. They have a web site, or you can google suppliers.
It's non hazardous and biological, and has a very nice smell and seems to go a long way |

| | | Re: Chemical Toilet Nothing wrong with RAKASAN, that is until it gets slopped onto aluminium structures as in aircraft fuselages. The corrosion it causes is terrible.
If anyone know any ex Crab Fats just ask about sandu money! Cheers, Tony |

| | | Re: Chemical Toilet Just a point if you are only using it for "tinkles" you could cut the chemical strength top and bottom by 50%

| | | Re: Chemical Toilet Afraid I'm still using the Thetford blue stuff - I've tried sev eco friendly sorts - including Thetfords green and it doesn't kill the smell adequately..........

| | | Re: Chemical Toilet There is a system now where you fit a fan into the exterior door of the toilet access which extracts air from the toilet casette, passing it through a carbon filter before it reaches the outside. The increase in airflow encourages increased bacteria activity, which breaks down waste matter. No chemicals are needed. There was an article about it in a motorhome magazine recently. |
