| | | Three Peaks Challenge - any advice? Hello,
Myself and four friends/work colleagues are planning on doing the Three Peaks Challenge (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hrs) next year for various charities.
Although we are experienced (and responsible) walkers we have not done the challenge before or such a prolonged walk, and although there are suggested routes and plans on Google, I would appreciate any suggestions from people who've actually done this before. Such as:
Walking and Driving schedule - what time to start Ben Nevis and drive etc
Preparation - we are all 30-35 years old and physically fit, but obviously this is more endurance than 90 minutes of football!
Provisions - any suggestions for a 24 hour march!
Thanks

There seems to be some good advice on this website: National Three Peaks Challenge
Which charities are you aiming to raise money for? Good luck with it!

I hadn't seen that site before. There are quite a few websites out there with articles about the 3 Peaks Challenge. I wondered whether anyone here had done it.
There's quite a few of us planning on doing the walk (well, four) so we'll probably raise money for Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospice (a Sheffield based charity) and a couple of more 'national' charities.
