The Moorcock at Garsdale head does good food and beer, open all day.
You must have a look at the station, its been done very well by preservationists, watch out for red squirrels near there too!

When, I first devised the route, I had a few options to chose from. I could of gone from Sedbergh, to the west of the Howgill Fells, up to Tebay, then swing eastwards to Kirkby Stepen.

However, I want to cycle up the Mallerstang Valley to Kirkby Stephen, always a favourite of mine and I've heard, that the Moorcock Inn allows camping at the rear.
