camping near west london

my son and I are looking for a campsite on the west side of London that would enable us easy access to cycleways into central London,ideally along the thames. has anyone any ideas

There's a couple of campsites in Pitstone, Bedfordshire. Ideal for cycling into London along the nearby canal. Whipsnade Zoo is nearby. Pitstone Green Museum is also nearby, but only opens occasionaly. It's well worth a visit - you can 'fly' a WW 2 full-size replica Lancaster bomber there!
