| | | Re: shotley round walk ? i went into town today and bought some Karrimor ksb 300 S they retail for about £85 but in the sale they were £65, we were talking to the man about how i like bushcraft and stuff and he was very impressed, so impressed that he gave me another 20% off so that brought them down to about £50 how great is that.
im wearing them now around the house to break them in

| | | Re: shotley round walk ? Wow congratulations on the boots fella what an excellent deal!! I highly recommend wearing them around the house too. I bought mine just before I went to Madagascar and even though I only wore them fro a week before I went I do think that's what saved my feet from getting rubbed in them
Sadly I don't live anywhere near Ipswich. I did six months construction site supervision in Aldeburgh where there's some nice circular walks with marsh harrier and possibly bearded tit and if you're really lucky bittern but that's some distance northeast of you.... sorry I can't be much more help!
If you change your mind and fancy looking for Goshawk in the Forest of Dean give me a shout!!! |

| | | Re: shotley round walk ? Round walks on the shotley peninsular are not that hard
to make up yourself.
There is a coastal footpath that goes from the Orwell
bridge (AA TV ads fame) and if it is not absolutely full
tide then you can stick in the Orwell below the high tide
mark and not make the slight detour inland.
When you get to the South side of the peninsular, i.e.
the Stour estuary, there are several possible Footpaths
and back lanes that you can take. Just check a pink landranger
1:50,000 ordanance survey map for the details.
Walking round alton water itself is about 9 miles and
always full of interest, though a bit busy at week-ends. |

| | | Re: shotley round walk ? I like the walk from Woolverstone marina to Pin Mill it includes woodland and shoreland, for a walk at Shotley you could go down to the end of the road and turn left, my Dad used to work at Ganges and I loved the area. You could go to the hide at Alton Water and take some pics.
Good luck with wearing your boots in |

I hadn't realised that. I used your ISBN number and searched for used books and came up with those two.

leon | You turn left at the carpark and it is about mile and a half on, half the hide faces trees with feeders and the other half faces out onto the water, I always see alot of geese either on the water or fields whenever I go there.
I might be going there tuesday, it is up to my sister as I am not driving at the mo. |
