| | | Re: camping virgin need help The cost of a pipe section is probably far more than the best tent!
I was glad of a pile of similar pipes at a marsh farm on the Solway a couple of years during a heavy storm. Drenched to the skin, I stripped off in a pipe to the amusement of a farmer who had sheltered in his truck whilst shearing sheep. |

Where do you find this stuff, Jim? | That good hey
I'm actually overseeing a campsite at present (which i carefully havent spammed in this thread, and its in devon anyway) and ive been looking at glamping options - pods dont do too well - they come at about twice the unit capital cost of a Ger (thats the propper name for a yurt) but offer about half the uplift in income per annum.
dont think i'll be doing concrete pipes - but a basic shelter and a donation box is an interesting idea, might be attractive in these straightened times.

| | | Re: camping virgin need help I took my children on many wild camping trips from a very young age and it was great. I would suggest that you take a tent out locally - perhaps on your local moors - for a night. You will then not be caught out how to put up a tent - what not to forget and generally get the feel of everything. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
