| | | Did rucksack design peak in the mid 1980s? I've still got my old Karrimor Jaguar E66 rucksack bought in 1985. It's still the most comfortable rucksack I've ever owned and is going strong after many trips including 2 to Chile, 1 to New Zealand, several to Scotland and Wales, and many years as general luggage. Now finding a new lease of life carrying kilos of sheep feed round the farm. It came with a 5 year gaurantee - brilliant piece of kit. It's finally showing some wear to the fabric at the bottom, but I reckon if I get this patched it will see me out |

| | | Re: Did rucksack design peak in the mid 1980s? I have two Karrimor blue canvas sacs with canvas shoulder straps I bought for £1 each at a car boot years ago. One I use for a game sac (carries a Roe or fifteen + rabbits) and the other one for any GP use like you. I've removed the top flap and fastening buckle and just use the drawstring closure.
So robust and useful, as you say. |

| | | Re: Did rucksack design peak in the mid 1980s? Karrimor rucksacks were well known as the best when they were British made. My Karimor Condor 60-80 has had immense service from me and it's often borrowed by my two sons for wild camping and skiing trips. It's as good now as it was 20 odd years ago - and very comfortable to wear. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
